Concert presented by the LamRim Buddhist Center of Brookline April 26, 2005, Tuesday at 7 pm
Lola Danza Sings With Freedom
We will begin with a Buddhist chant to dedicate the concert to religious and cultural freedom:
for Tibetans inside Tibet under Chinese rule and for our dear friend and his family, all Brookline residents,
the Tiananmen Square freedom activist, Dr. Yang Jianli,. April 26th is the anniversary of his unjust
imprisonment in China. He wrote, "Let us look beyond the freedom we enjoy outside China to envision the
freedom in the future of China. I long for the day when all of us are free; I long for the day when we
can live together in peace."
Lola Danza and musicians in a Springtime concert celebrating Freedom.
"a stunning voice that elongates words and phrases with almost ethereal clarity"
" .....Danza follows her own muse stylistically, preferring the spare and airy
to the busy and hot.” .... "She infuses beautiful flowing melodies and creative
improvised lines with effortless mastery ..... cultivates mutual inspiration
between the musicians and enchants the audience."
Enjoy Lola's bell like voice and end the evening with a feast!
